Odoo allows several companies to run in a single database. Each country can be its own company, with its own chart of accounts, currency, taxes and document sequences. You can keep products, customers and vendors shared across the group, or restrict them to one company. Users can see only the companies they are allowed to access, and switch between them from the same login.
Decide the structure before configuration starts: which legal entity owns which warehouse, which company raises the invoice, and which team maintains shared records. Adding a company later is possible, but changing the structure after go-live is much harder.
Each company has a company currency. Transactions can be entered in a different transaction currency, and Odoo stores both the transaction amount and its value in the company currency. Exchange rates can be updated automatically from a rate provider, or entered manually.
When an invoice is paid later, Odoo posts the currency gain or loss automatically. Agree on a rate policy, choose who can override rates, and test the posting with your accountant before go-live.
Odoo provides localization packages for many countries. A package sets up the local chart of accounts, taxes, tax reports and statutory reports for that country. Install the package for each company's country and review it with a local accountant, because localization covers standard rules, not every edge case.
Some countries also require e-invoicing or real-time tax reporting. Saudi Arabia's ZATCA is one example: plan the e-invoicing integration early, before the first invoice is issued. Learn more about ZATCA e-invoicing.
When companies in the same group trade with each other, Odoo can create the mirror transaction automatically. A sale in one company generates the matching purchase or invoice in the other, using the intercompany rules you configure. You control the price, taxes and accounts used for these transactions.
Review the rules with finance so that intercompany balances match on both sides. Clean intercompany postings make consolidated reporting much easier.
Each user can work in their own language and time zone. Odoo translates the interface and many documents, and you can maintain translations for product names, terms and templates. Set the correct time zone for each user and company so delivery dates, deadlines and audit trails do not shift across countries.
Group finance needs one view across all companies. Odoo's multi-company filters let you report on a single company, a selection of companies, or the whole group. Use the same account structure and analytic tags across countries, and reconcile intercompany balances before you consolidate.
Agree the group reporting currency and calendar up front. It is much easier to design reports once than to rebuild them after every country goes live.
Pilot in one country first. Choose the country with the simplest legal setup or the most willing team, and take the core processes live there. Fix the data, tax setup and training in the pilot before you copy the model to the next country.
Then roll out country by country using the same template, with a short gap between launches so the core team can support each one. Follow a proven sequence of Odoo implementation steps, and bring in Odoo implementation services if you need help running the pilot and the country rollouts.
Odoo can run on Odoo Online, Odoo.sh or your own server. The right choice depends on how much custom code you need, who manages upgrades, and where your data must reside.
| Option | Best for | What to know |
|---|---|---|
| Odoo Online | Fast start with low maintenance | Fully managed by Odoo. You can export your data, and Studio is available for customization. |
| Odoo.sh | Teams that need custom code and staging | Managed platform with Git-based deployments, staging and production environments. |
| Your own server | Full control of infrastructure | You manage hosting, upgrades, backups and security. |

Set up the company structure and currencies right on day one. Changing them after go-live is much harder than adding a new country later.
First, we must properly identify the desired business goals. Only then can service providers offer advice on the best options.
At this step, the client must prepare a budget for the implementation of their ERP.
We must choose the best ERP for our business from the ones that are currently available on the market.
After choosing the best ERP for our business, we must choose the best partner to deploy the ERP.
Define the phases, owners and timeline for each country, and agree on a clear execution strategy.
We must choose the best quality hosting option for the selected ERP to avoid further challenges.
We first analyze and understand your business requirements. Without grasping and assessing your business demands, it is quite difficult to suggest the best solutions. The analysis team will document the required details and forward them to the development team for further processes.
Our ERP will be installed and configured based on our requirements. ERP configuration focuses on system elements rather than the requirements of your business processes. Your system's components can be set up to operate within the limitations of a particular environment, like languages, currencies, time zones, and more.
After configuration, we begin the Odoo ERP project development. The objective of module development is to best serve your business. We make sure that development is executed under industry standards and guidelines while keeping your requirements in mind.
One of the essential aspects of ERP implementation is data migration. Data must be accurate and complete for a business operation to be profitable. We transfer your existing data with the utmost care and attention to the new Odoo ERP from the current implementation, including software, Excel files, older versions of Odoo, etc.
We will properly test the overall ERP before making it live. This is to ensure that if any of the team members encounter any bugs or challenges, the concerned team can fix them before deploying them on live.
Always at your side to offer a helping hand in handling all complexities, We work with you to choose the best way to implement your ERP so that you can expand your business.
Odoo is extensive and hence, proper training is required to improve the users’ skills to operate the ERP solution. After implementation, we successfully train end users on Odoo using a variety of communication tools like Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Google Meet, videos, and related materials.
From configuration to integration, our Odoo services cover the work a multi-country rollout needs. If local payroll, banking or warehouse systems must connect to Odoo, our Odoo integration services handle that.
The secret to a profitable business is a well-executed ERP implementation. The partner you choose is one of the key factors in whether your ERP deployment succeeds.
